Tokyo Olympics: World No. 1 Deepika Kumari beats Jennifer Muccino by 6-4
Yesterday on 28th July Wednesday, World Number 1 archer Deepika Kumari defeated Jennifer Musino of America in the ongoing archery match in the Yumenoshima Ranking Field defeated 6-4 in the 1/16 elimination round.
Deepika then managed to make a comeback in the second set to level the score at 2-2.
In the third set of the match, Indian archer Deepika dominated completely and took a 4-2 lead.
Fernandez made a strong comeback in the fourth set of the match and by the end of the set, she brought the score to 4-4.Thus the match reached the fifth and deciding set.
However, in the final deciding set, Deepika took a 6-4 lead in the match and As a result, she reached the 1/8 elimination round.
Earlier on Saturday, the mixed doubles team of India's Deepika Kumar and Praveen Jadhav lost in the quarter-finals.India's mixed team was defeated by South Korea's pair K.N. San and Kim J Deok had defeated by a score of 6-2.
Tomorrow on 30th July, World No.1 Deepika Kumari's 1/8 Elimination Round match will be held at Yumenoshima Final Field with Perova Ksenia at 09:30.
